13th National Neuroscience Congress was organised and hosted by Konya Selcuk University at 30 April- 3May. Medipol University scholars Prof. Gürkan Öztürk, Prof. Ertuğrul Kılıç, Prof. Lütfü Hanoğlu, Prof. Hanefi Özbek, Assist. Prof. Deniz Atasoy Assoc. Prof. İlknur Keskin attended the organisation with valuable contribution. Prof. Hanefi Ozbek held a popular Course on Medical Statistics and Its Basic Applications, Prof. Lütfü Hanoğlu hosted a panel on fascinating subject his team work on, “Parkinsonian visual hallucinations and their mechanisms” and Assist. Prof. Deniz Atasoy told about his team’s celebrated work in his conference “Optogenetic dissection of feeding circuits”
REMER attended the event wit 6 posters and an oral presentation. Teaching assistant Taha Kelestemur and his team from Brain Research Laboratory received a first place in poster category with their work “The role of p2X7 receptors after epilepsy in mice”, Betul Polat, Elif Kubat Oktem and Cagla Akagunduz from the Team Axolotl were deemed worthy of another first place in poster category with “Adult Ambystoma mexicanum (Axolotl) spinal cord cell culture protocol and cell identification”. And last but not least Burak Caglayan from Brain research laboratory brought home a second place in oral presentation category with his talk ” The mechanism of P2X7 receptor mediated neuronal survival in-vivo and in vitro”
