INSTRUMENT
AND
CAPABILITY
The SYNAPT G2-Si (Waters) is a hybrid quadrupole-time-of-flight (Q-TOF) mass spectrometer, featuring a traveling wave ion-mobility separation cell. This innovative design enables the separation of gaseous ions not only by mass but also by their structural characteristics. The SYNAPT G2 is integrated with both Acquity UPLC M-Class and I-Class systems (Waters). Available ion sources include Electrospray Ionization (ESI), nanoESI, and Matrix-assisted laser desorption/ionization (MALDI). The QTOF features a resolving quadrupole, an ion mobility drift cell, two collision cells, and a TOF with a resolving power greater than 40,000 FWHM. The LockSpray reference mass enhances mass accuracy, while the StepWave ion optics improve sensitivity. This instrument supports MS/MS, MSE, and corresponding HDMS (with ion mobility) experiments. Both the LC and MS systems are operated using MassLynxTM software, and more advanced analyses are possible with Progenesis QI and Progenesis QI for proteomics.
Waters Xevo TQ-S + I-Class UPLC is a highly sensitive and powerful tandem quadrupole mass spectrometer coupled with the I-Class UPLC system. The combination of these two instruments provides exceptional analytical performance for a wide range of applications, including targeted quantitative analysis and small molecule characterization.
HPLC is a high-performance version of liquid chromatography and is commonly used for the separation, identification, and analysis of chemical compounds. HPLC is a fundamental technique in analytical laboratories for a range of chemical analyses, particularly in the determination of biomolecules, pharmaceuticals, environmental pollutants, and food compounds.
ICP-MS is an advanced technique that enables the analysis of elements and trace elements with high precision. This technology plays an important role in the detection of trace elements, heavy metals, and minerals in environmental and biological samples.
