Nazende Yağmur Uysal

Nazende Yağmur UYSAL is a second-year medical student at Istanbul Medipol University. She graduated from Cağaloğlu Anadolu High-School, where she received the highest German language diploma (Deutsches Sprachdiplom-2). She is a Projects Support Division Officier (PSD) at Turkish Medical Students' International Committee ( TurkMSIC). She has obtained an acceptence from 2247/C - Intern Researcher Scholarship Program (STAR) of TUBITAK BIDEB under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Ertuğrul KILIÇ. She also works in Q-laboratory about odor sensing under the supervision of Dr. Muhammed İkbal ALP.

One of the main reasons she aspires to be a scientist is to have the opportunity solve urgent global challenges with an interdisciplinary approach, and thus be able to provide a sustainable environment, as well as accessible and effective healthcare services to global communities. In the future, she wishes to work in the field of human machine interfaces, hence why she is currently learning code and robotics. Her main research interests include neurodegenerative diseases and computational neuroscience.
