[email protected]Meryem Sinem Uyar graduated from Biruni University in 2020 with a major in Molecular Biology and Genetics, and a minor in Biomedical Engineering. She then completed her master’s degree in Biological Sciences – Neurobiology at the University of Cologne in 2024. During her master’s thesis at the University of Cologne Hospital, she optimized the expression of GRAB sensor in a transgenic Alzheimer’s rat model within the Sesia group, under the supervision of Dr. Thibaut Sesia and Dr. Boriss Sagalajev. Currently, she is working at Q-Lab under the supervision of Assist. Prof. Muhammed Ikbal Alp. Her research focuses on advancing electrophysiological recording systems for mice and developing an odor management system to train AI in recognizing and interpreting neural signals related to odor patterns.
