Assist. Prof. Elif Hocaoğlu
[email protected]Dr. Elif Hocaoglu graduated with a B.Sc. degree in Mechanical Engineering from the Yildiz Technical University, Istanbul, Turkey in 2005. Then, she received her M.Sc. and Ph.D. degrees in Mechatronics Engineering from Sabanci University, Istanbul, Turkey in 2008 and 2014, respectively. Previously, she worked as a postdoctoral researcher at Brain Computer Interface Laboratory at Sabanci University. Then, she pursued her studies as a postdoctoral researcher under the supervision of Prof. Antonio Bicchi at The Humanoid and Human Centred Mechatronics Laboratory/Advanced Robotics Department (ADVR) in Italian Institute of Technology (IIT), Genoa, Italy and under the supervision of Prof. Etienne Burdet at Human-Robotics Laboratory/Department of Bioengineering in Imperial College London, UK, respectively. She is currently assistant professor in Electrical and Electronics Engineering Department and director of Living Robotics Laboratory in Istanbul Medipol University. Her research has focused on human augmentation and physical human-robot interaction, in particular prosthetic devices and rehabilitation robotics, wearable robotics, sEMG and EEG-based interface systems, tele-impedance control, variable stiffness actuators. Her research extends to soft robotics.
