Assoc. Prof. Erol Yıldırım
[email protected]Erol Yıldırım received his bachelor's degree in Psychology from Istanbul University and he completed his master's degree in Clinical Cognitive Neuroscience at the Institute of Neurological Sciences of the same university. He took his PhD degree at Istanbul University Institute of Forensic Medicine under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Tamer Demiralp. In his master's and doctoral studies, he examined the brain electrical activity associated with cognitive functioning with Event Related Brain Potentials analysis.
He is a faculty member of Istanbul Medipol University Department of Psychology and the founder-coordinator of fiNCAN Laboratory. His research focuses on the neural structure and processes of emotion and cognition and social cognition. He also conducts research on neuropsychological assessment in clinical groups and the effects of brain stimulation on cognition and brain activity.
