The 21st National Neuroscience Congress, a prestigious event in the field of neuroscience, was hosted by Abant İzzet Baysal University in Bolu, Turkey, from June 8th to 11th, 2023. More than 500 national and international scientists renowned for their research on the brain and nervous system attended the congress, organized by the Turkish Brain Research and Neuroscience Association (TUBAS). Medipol SABITA, showcasing advanced imaging technologies, laboratory analysis, and experimental animal services essential for researchers’ projects, garnered significant attention at the event.
A multitude of researchers from the Neuroscience Research Center, one of the affiliated research centers of SABITA, delivered impactful presentations throughout the congress. Prof. Dr. Lütfü Hanoğlu and Prof. Dr. Bahar Güntekin from the Neuroscience research group, along with Dr. Mehmet Şerif Aydın from the Neurobiology and Regenerative Medicine research group, served as session chairs in various symposia. Assist. Prof. Neşe Ayşit presented on “Neurodegeneration in Mouse Models,” while Dr. Mevhibe Sarıcaoğlu discussed the “Combined Use and Analysis of Electroencephalography (EEG) and Functional Near Infrared Spectroscopy (fNIRS) Techniques in the Investigation of Cognitive Functions.” Moreover, Prof. Dr. Bahar Güntekin and Dr. Tuba Aktürk conducted a course on “EEG Signal Analysis in Cognitive Neuroscience Research.”
The poster presentations and interactive workshops organized throughout the congress also attracted substantial interest.
