[email protected]Furkan Akosman is a student of Molecular Biology and Genetics at Istanbul Sabahattin Zaim University and an undergraduate researcher at SABITA. He is currently engaged in experimental neuroscience research within the Neurosurgery and Electrophysiology Laboratory (Q-Lab) at Istanbul Medipol University, where he is working under the supervision of Assist. Prof. Muhammed Ikbal Alp. His work focuses on behavioral neuroscience and the neurophysiological impacts of fungal agents on the central nervous system (Neuro Fungus). Active member of the European Union-funded COST Action INFOGUT (CA23110), he investigates microbiota–brain axis interactions using both molecular and behavioral models. His core research interests include fungal–brain interactions and cognitive and locomotor behavioral paradigms. He is currently advancing his expertise in translational neuroscience with a focus on brain–microbiota interactions.
