Ümmügülsüm ÖNAL, M.D., graduated from İzmir Katip Çelebi University Faculty of Medicine in 2018. And completed her expertise in medicine in Department of Histology and Embryology at Selçuk University Faculty of Medicine with her thesis on thymic mapping. As a consultant clinical embryologist at the Van Regional Training and Res. Hospital - IVF Center, since may 2024. Her clinical practice areas ıvf techniques and regenerative medicine and reproductive medicine. Also she is currently participates in research as a post doc. at İstanbul Medipol University. The areas she works in Q- lab; Thymus, Involution Mechanism, Clarity Technique. Dr. Önal specifically focus of research on how the human thymus changes with aging and working on imaging the projections between the thymus and the brain. She attaches particular importance to establishing interaction between different disciplines on providing a clinical perspective with hypotheses from basic science.
