Mehmet Uğurcan Turhan started his medical education at medipol university in 2014, met Esra Çağavi, from whom he took a medical biology course in 2015, and started working actively after his internship in her laboratory. His interest in cardiac physiology and stem cells led him to Esra Çağavi's lab.He took part in in vivo studies, in vitro cell-level studies and molecular biology studies in Çağavi lab.He expresses his gratitude to Esra Çağavi, who made him see the laboratory as his second family.
After working with Esra Çağavi and her team and completing his medical education separately, he graduated in 2021 and continues his education life as an research assistant doctor in Istanbul University-Cerrahpaşa Cardiovascular Surgery.
