Asal Zaki graduated in 2020 from Sabancı University. During her graduation project, she worked with engineered nanobodies against a transcription factor and realized that her passion lies in Biochemistry and Molecular interactions. As a result, she joined Dr. Eroğlu’s research team to pursue her interests. In this lab, they develop informative chemogenetic tools that allow manipulation of the redox state of cells with high spatial and temporal resolution. Using genetically encoded biosensors, they simultaneously visualize changes in redox perturbations at subcellular levels. Additionally, they use recombinant biosensors to investigate the function of signaling ions in different tissues.
Yusuf Enes Kazcı received his BSc degree in Molecular Biology and Genetics from Ihsan Dogramaci Bilkent University. He then earned his MSc degree in Molecular Biology and Genetics from Bogazici University. Currently, he is pursuing his Ph.D. studies in the Neuroscience program at Medipol University under the supervision of Assoc. Prof Esra Cagavi. His research focuses on characterizing the vagal sensory innervation pattern of the heart using a Cre-Loxp based strategy in transgenic mice.
