New Grant / EMBO Installation Grant to Dr. Eroğlu

Our faculty member Dr. Emrah Eroğlu has been awarded with research funding from European Molecular Biology Organization (EMBO).

Dr. Emrah Eroğlu, conducting his research at Istanbul Medipol University Health Science and Technologies Research Institute (SABITA), has been awarded European Molecular Biology Organisation (EMBO) Installation Grant award. Eroğlu will be supported with his project titled “Unveiling the Mechanisms of Brain Endothelial Dysfunction with Chemogenetics”. EMBO, which supports excellence in life sciences and includes nearly 2,000 leading researchers, aims to support talented researchers at every stage of their careers, encourage the exchange of scientific knowledge and create research environments where scientists can perform the best work. The new laboratories in Croatia, Czech Republic, Estonia, Lithuania, Poland, Portugal, Lithuania, Poland, Portugal and Turkey will explore topics such as cancer biology, viral dynamics, gene editing technologies and the role of phytoplankton in the global carbon cycle.
