Dr. Evgenev will speak about an important neurotransmitter (H₂S) which has attracted the attention of the broader biological community in the last decade. He will describe various consequences of knockouts of all three major genes responsible for H₂S synthesis and metabolism, obtained for the first time in his laboratory in Drosophila melanogaster.
Dr. Evgenev’s presentation will focus on the application of recombinant human heat shock protein (HSP70) in various in vivo and in vitro models of neurodegeneration, including Alzheimer’s disease and aging.
