In the era of mega data and AI, how do we expect the medical research to change in these fast moving world.
Lukman Thalib has been listed as one of the top scientists in the world by the Stanford University. He is a Professor of Biostatistics at Griffith University Australia and Istanbul Aydin University, Turkey.
He has completed his MSc from University of Reading UK in 1989 and his PhD from the University of Birmingham, UK in 1993. Prof. Thalib has closer to 200 peer reviewed scientific publications and five book chapters. His H index is over 61 with over 11000 citations. He also has over 30 research grants including a number of large grants from NHMRC, Australia and NPRP.
His research interests are in a wide variety of clinical and epidemiological applications and published in reputed journals including LANCET and BMJ, in addition to many high impact cancer and cardiovascular journals. He has published a number of statistical methodological papers with Dr Doi, and he has developed the Qualiyt Effects Models for meta analysis.
He taught Evidence Based Medicine along with Prof Gordon Guyatt who coined the term EBM for the first time.
