Dr. Saba Tariq, a beacon of excellence in the realm of healthcare, is a name that resonates with innovation and unwavering commitment. Holding a PhD in Clinical Pharmacology and Therapeutics earned in 2021, she has scaled the heights of academic and research achievements, leaving an indelible mark on both national and international platforms.
Recipient of a prestigious gold medal in recognition of her outstanding accomplishments, Dr. Tariq is a distinguished researcher whose contributions have illuminated the path of medical progress. At the forefront of her field, she currently serves as the Head of the Department and Professor in Pharmacology and Therapeutics at University Medical and Dental College (UMDC), The University of Faisalabad, where she seamlessly blends her academic prowess with remarkable leadership acumen.
As the Chairperson of the Research Advisory UMDC, Dr. Tariq’s guidance has catalysed groundbreaking research initiatives that push the boundaries of medical knowledge. Her commitment to excellence is further underscored by her memberships in esteemed organisations such as the American College of Clinical Pharmacology and the Association of Medical Education in Europe. Notably, she holds a prominent position within the World Association of Medical Editors and represents the Higher Education Commission of Pakistan in the National Curriculum Committee, shaping the future of medical education.
Dr. Tariq’s passion is vividly evident in her extensive body of work, encompassing 60 original research articles, four research grants, and enriching contributions to numerous book chapters. Her research focus on women’s health aligns seamlessly with her dedication to Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) 3 and 5, emphasising good health and gender equality.
Currently serving as a postdoctoral fellow at the University of Birmingham, Dr. Tariq continues to leverage her expertise to drive advancements in medical research and education.
