Low Level Laser Therapy (LLLT) has been used in in vivo and in vitro models of several different physiological and pathological contexts. Here we have focused on the possible effect of LLLT in exosomal miRNAs in an in vitro oxidative stress model.
Mehmet Ozansoy is a molecular biologist working in the field of neuroscience. Dr. Ozansoy received his BSc., MSc and Ph.D. degrees from Boğaziçi University, Department of Molecular Biology and Genetics. During his graduate study he has worked in University College London (UCL), Rita Lila Weston Institute of Neurological Studies, Johns Hopkins University, Department of Neuroscience and Neurogenetics and Paris Salpetriere Hospital, INSERM Department of Neurogenetics. He has also worked as a post doctoral researcher in Neurodegeneration Research Laboratory (NDAL) led by Prof. Dr. A. Nazlı Başak.
Dr. Ozansoy focuses primarily on neurodegenerative disorders such as Alzheimer’s Disease, Parkinson’s Disease and ALS. Dr. Ozansoy’s group is specifically generating in vitro models of these disorders and the roles of regulatory RNAs in the molecular/cellular mechanisms of them.
They have also research projects related with the clinical staging of the neurodegenerative disorders and potential biomarkers.
In addition to that, Dr Ozansoy is interested and working in the field of neuro-oncology. Screening and evaluating of drug candidates in the context of gliomas.
Recently he has started to focus on the neural correlates of time perception and its disruption in the context of several neuropsychiatric disorders.
