REMER Talks / Collaborative Research And Biostatics

July 18, 2016 at REMER Talks, Mehmet Kocak, Associate Professor of Biostatistics at the University of Tennessee Health Science Center is going to be at REMER.

What about is topic of seminar?

Scientific research, be it in sociology or phycology, or be it in medicine or epidemiology, has become more and more interdisciplinary, where experts from multiple disciplines bring their expertise to design and conduct more ethical and cost-effective studies. In this talk, we will describe with examples the roles of biostatisticians in today’s interdisciplinary research environment at the Collaborative and Methodological Research level as well as their roles in teaching and training well-equipped researchers and practitioners. We will also discuss how to create research teams to bring up synergy at the institutional, national, and global dimensions.
