Held on October 22–24, 2026, the three-day festival aimed to foster scientific curiosity, encourage critical thinking, and strengthen public engagement with science through a diverse range of educational activities and workshops.
The project, led by Muhammed İkbal Alp, with Fırat Semih Avşar serving as a project expert, brought together researchers, educators, students, and members of the wider community. Prof. Dr. Yasemin Yüksel Durmaz, Vice Rector of Istanbul Medipol University, also attended the festival, reflecting the university’s commitment to advancing science communication and community engagement.
Throughout the event, participants explored scientific concepts through hands-on activities that connected scientific knowledge with creativity, experimentation, and everyday life. The festival created an inclusive learning environment where curiosity and discovery became shared experiences across generations.
Supported by the TÜBİTAK 4007 Science Festivals Support Program, “Optimistic Future” highlighted the value of collaboration between universities, educational institutions, local authorities, and the wider community in making science more accessible.
