İhsan Yozgat

[email protected]

Dr. İhsan Yozgat is a highly skilled researcher in the fields of medical biotechnology, analytical chemistry, and mass spectrometry, with over 15 years of progressive experience in both academic and industrial settings. He holds a Ph.D. in Medical Biotechnology from Acıbadem Mehmet Ali Aydınlar University and an M.Sc. in Analytical Chemistry from Sakarya University. His doctoral work focused on longitudinal, non-targeted metabolomic profiling of urine samples to monitor kidney transplant patients, a study that integrated advanced LC-MS/MS techniques and bioinformatics for clinical biomarker discovery.

Dr. Yozgat is an expert in high-resolution mass spectrometry, particularly in the use of UPLC-QTOF, nanoUPLC-QTOF and MALDI-TOF platforms for proteomic and metabolomic analysis of biological and clinical samples including urine, serum, plasma, tissue, and saliva. His work is backed by a strong foundation in sample preparation, experimental design, and data analysis using advanced data analysis tools and bioinformatics platforms.

He participated as a PhD student in the TÜBİTAK 2244 Industrial Ph.D. Program and has also been involved in a TÜBİTAK 1001 Scientific and Technological Research Project. Additionally, he has co-authored scientific articles published in peer-reviewed journals and presented at various conferences. His research interests include biomarker discovery, multi-omics data integration, AI in biomedical applications, and translational proteomics/metabolomics in nephrology and oncology.

Throughout his career, Dr. Yozgat has combined strong analytical laboratory skills with scientific curiosity, demonstrated by his positions at leading research centers including İstanbul Medipol University REMER and his internship at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center. He also has extensive experience in pharmaceutical R&D and quality control laboratories.
