Sena Yıldırım graduated from Bezmialem medical school in 2021 and is currently pursuing her PhD in Physiology at Istanbul Medipol University.Her research centers on oxidative stress in the neurovascular unit, with a particular focus on brain microvascular endothelial cells, neurons, and astrocytes. She uses in vivo chemogenetic models and 3D spheroid cultures, combined with genetically encoded biosensors, to study real-time ROS dynamics and their role in neurodegeneration and blood-brain barrier dysfunction.
